Division of the bachelor program of extension education
The Evening Division was established in 1969 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is designed as an educational option for students who want to pursue a degree in higher education while at the same time keeping their jobs. In accordance with the diversified development of the University and to provide an environment for life-long learning, Division of the bachelor program of extension education was transformed into the Evening Division from 1997, offering four-year, degree-granting programs in fifteen departments.

Curriculum
Division of the bachelor program of extension education remains loyal to its founding spirit and continues to develop its original goals of holistic education. The School is dedicated to cultivate its students with knowledge and the ability and expertise necessary in their careers. We expect our students to be equipped with a humanistic background, interpersonal communication skills, critical thinking and analytical ability. The School has fifteen departments, offering courses with a balance between theoretical research and practical training to conform to the needs of students in employment.

Conferences: Every year the
.Academic Exchange: The faculty members in the Departments of Chinese, History, and Philosophy are engaged in vigorous scholarly exchange with mainland Chinese universities. During summer and winter vacations, they often attend conferences and are invited as guest speakers in universities across the strait. The School also invites mainland Chinese scholars to visit and conduct seminars to exchange ideas and experiences in adult education and life-long learning.
